An ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church, Rebekah has served black, white, small, medium and large churches in the Rocky Mountain Conference. During her three appointments to local church ministry she broke the color barrier, the gender barrier and the religion barrier.
Drawing upon her life experiences in the Reform and Orthodox Jewish communities, as well as her training in environmental studies she wrote The Jew Named Jesus, Green Church: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rejoice!, Green Church Leader Guide and 7 Simple Steps to Green Your Church. Her books have been awarded the “Trusted and Transformational” designation by Cokesbury. Green Church: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rejoice! was featured on the United Methodist Women’s 2012 Reading List.
