"Isn’t this the carpenter?”
The people of Nazareth couldn’t make sense of what they were seeing when they encountered a Jesus who healed and taught with authority. Up until that moment, recorded in Mark 6, they’d known him as a local laborer, someone you’d seek for a house project or perhaps a new tool rather than spiritual counsel.
