Christians and World Leaders Gather in Kyiv to Pray

Oksana Kravchuk emerged from her sleeping compartment on the train from Przemysl, Poland, to Kyiv, Ukraine, on August 22 and gazed out the window at the green pastures of her native homeland.

She hadn’t slept much during the 10-hour overnight train ride, even though she was tired after traveling from Seattle to Poland. Kravchuk had activated Ukraine’s Air Alert app, and its alarm sounded several times throughout the night to warn of possible attacks on Kyiv.
