Why Abraham?

In his justly celebrated “Letter from Birmingham Jail,” Martin Luther King Jr. cites St. Augustine’s lapidary declaration: “An unjust law is no law at all.” Faced with laws or court rulings that undermine human dignity and equality, we are not merely permitted to disobey; we are obligated to do so. In Radical Universalism, the Israeli-American philosopher Omri Boehm wants to establish that this is true, and also to understand why it is true.
