Last Sunday, we considered the centrality of grace in the Christian life and took Saint Anne as a model of such grace, embodied in her very name. Were this not a Sunday, we would be celebrating a Mass in her honor.
That said, Saint Anne deserves attention yet again because she was one of those “poor ones” of the Lord, known as the anawim.
