The Left Are Making Their Own Religion

Evidence of religion’s declining importance to Americans is sadly nothing new. When Gallup polled on the question in 1952, 75% of Americans said religion was “very important” to them, 20% said religion was “fairly important,” and only 5% said religion was “not very important.” By 2025, Gallup found the three readings were 47%, 25%, and 28%, respectively. The percentage saying religion was “not very important” to them had risen over fivefold in 74 years.
