An Ancient Anxiety Returns

Over the past year, an unsettling sentiment has taken hold in Jewish circles. Rabbis, communal leaders, and philanthropists have begun warning that the American Jewish chapter is drawing to a close. Every great diaspora, they remind us, eventually ended the same way. The writing is on the wall. The only uncertainty is how long before we, too, will be forced to leave, if not to flee for our lives.
