Christians have a spring in their step these days. Church attendance is beginning to stabilize, following decades of decline. The White House is devoted to the “total protection” of prayer in schools, while popular YouTuber Jonathan Pageau told believers at a recent conference that “we have to recapture our confidence” now that Christians “have seen the fruits of the world they proposed to us.” They – secularists – have “had their chance.” Add to all this the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, whose avowed belief that American greatness is contingent on restoring its Christian roots, now has the backing of a martyr.
