The Diversity of a Local Parish

Generation Z is going through something of a religious revival. Zoomers are converting in sharply increasing numbers to Catholicism, Eastern Orthodoxy and Islam. Even in New York City, Catholic parishes report a surge of young people entering the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults, the program for adults to receive confirmation. Outside St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Greenwich Village, young people are lining up a half-hour before Mass to get a seat.
