Why You Should Talk About Faith at the Dinner Table

My 8-year-old daughter has a knack for asking the kinds of questions that leave me stumped: “What happens to us when we die?” “Does God have a wife?” “If the one-dollar-bill says ‘In God We Trust,’ why do so many people not believe in God?”

When my 13-year-old son was learning about the Trinity in his Catholic school, he came home eager to engage in some comparative theology about how Catholic teachings compare to those of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the faith that we practice at home. That one, too, left me puzzled.
