Official Registration by Church of Jesus Christ Approved in Azerbaijan

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was notified by the government of the Republic of Azerbaijan this week that their registration process, underway since the second half of 2023, had concluded successfully. According to a church statement, this registration “provides for a body that is officially recognized by the government of Azerbaijan to act for the Church in the Baku area” — which is the capital of the country.
