Ram Temple Consecration Being Done Ignoring Religious Procedures

Facing criticism from the BJP over declining invitation for the Ayodhya event, the Congress on Friday hit out at the saffron party for the "massive politicisation" of the Ram temple consecration, which is being carried out "by not following religious procedures and disregarding advice of Shankaracharyas". The party emphasised that religion is a matter of personal faith and anyone is free to go to Ayodhya at any time they wish but made it clear that its top leaders declined the invitation as the BJP-RSS turned the event into an "out and out political affair.
