Ethiopian Jews and Their Sacred Scripture

If someone knows one thing about Ethiopian Jews, it is likely to be that what is known as “the Oral Torah” is absent from their bookshelves and praxis. One searches in vain for those rabbinic interpretations of the Written Torah and traditions that have defined Judaism outside of Ethiopia for at least two millennia.
