Thanks for joining our very brief study of Moses. He was a servant of the Lord who led the ancient Israelites -- God's chosen people -- out of Egyptian bondage to the edge of the Promised Land. Moses had several personal encounters with God but was never allowed to see His face. Nonetheless, God orchestrated numerous miraculous events through Moses' leadership, including giving him The Law known as The Ten Commandments. Moses is also credited with writing the Torah, the first five books of the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament). Hence, one could say that Moses is the Old Testament's leading figure, with David in second place.
