After the McCarrick Report

With the release of the so-called "McCarrick Report," this brutal, bizarre year has a new low point. Many priests have already begun whispering among themselves: When we eventually reinstate the Sunday Mass obligation, what if our numbers don't budge? What if what we have now-about 30 percent of the 30 percent who were actually attending Mass before the pandemic-is what we have?
