Does Barrett's Catholicism Include Caring for Creation?

Amy Coney Barrett, who was sworn in as a U.S. Supreme Court Justice on Monday night, had a clear message for the Notre Dame Law School commencement crowd in 2006. In sending them forth, the devout Catholic declared that their “legal career is but a means to an end ... and that end is building the Kingdom of God.” 

Building the Kingdom of God can have many interpretations, depending upon your religious viewpoint. Some Americans looking at Barrett’s record are concerned that her vision for the Kingdom of God would include rolling back legal protections for LGBTQ people, for workers, and for abortion access.
