Police Chaplains Take a Stronger Role in Community Policing

Scranton Police Chief Carl Graziano said an active chaplain, who spends time on the beat with other officers, injects a gentler demeanor into the mix. Chaplains being with the police help diffuse situations and help people trust the police more after so much animus between communities and police in recent years.
