Are America's Christian Nation Days Behind Us?

Is America a Christian nation? We know from a previous PRRI analysis that between 2010 and 2015 there has been a small 7-point decline in Americans who believe the country is a Christian nation and a subsequent 8-point rise in those who say it was a Christian nation in the past but is no longer one today. With the presidential inauguration and its religious undertones right around the corner, we wanted to see how different religious groups, including the religiously unaffiliated, have shifted their perspectives on whether America is a Christian nation in the last five years.
