As IGN’s Scott Collura explained this week, plenty of characters in the MCU have god-like abilities. Most recently, this could be seen through the character Ego, who will debut in the upcoming film, “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2.” Ego, according to the story, is a living planet that can change into physical forms. In the movie, Ego turns into a man who procreates with a woman to give birth to the movie’s hero, Star-Lord.
“But there are plenty of other god-like beings floating around the MCU now, not to mention things like the Infinity Stones, which offer their users untold powers,” Collura wrote. “And, possibly, in the case of the not yet found Soul Stone, they can also prove the existence of the immortal spirit itself.”
