Mixing Orthodox Judaism and Beatboxing

When Ilan Swartz-Brownstein and Josh Leviton took the stage for the "America's Got Talent" audition TV viewers watched on the July 5 broadcast, the audience didn't seem to know what to think.

Celebrity judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Mel B eyeballed the duo without much enthusiasm.

Would the two twenty-something men dressed in traditional Orthodox Jewish garb deliver a lecture on the Torah?

Nope. To the surprise of the crowd, and the judges, Swartz-Brownstein -- who grew up in Portland -- and Leviton busted out their beatboxing skills for an energetic take on Meghan Trainor's hit, "All About That Bass," pumping out vocal percussion using just their mouths, voices, breath and microphones.
