When You're Leaving Your Church

As a pastor, I know there are people who come to my church from other churches and who leave my church to go to other churches. I understand that this happens, and in some cases, I understand why it happens — especially in a country with a church on every block. That said, on the rare occasion I get to meet with people who are leaving my church, I give them a few pieces of advice. I always assure them that their decision is theirs to make and that I will neither judge them nor try to convince them to do otherwise. However, I do give them a few of my thoughts to help them on their journey.
