Methodists Shouldn't Alter Marriage

The recent majority vote on human sexuality by the delegates of the Greater New Jersey Annual Conference recommends changing the official position of the United Methodist Church by 53.5 percent to 46.5 percent. If passed, same-sex marriages would be condoned by the church and homosexual practice would be deemed normative Christian behavior. The Discipline (church law) would be irreparably damaged.

I have searched in vain for a statement one way or the other from our clergy on this development. Having found none except for those from Bishop John Schol (sadly) favoring the legislation. I put forth these views opposing this proposed action.
