When most people hear the word “Seminary,” they think of college-level training for those who are preparing for full-time work in the ministry. In our Church, where there is no professional clergy and everyone participates in the ministry, Seminary relates to religious education for high school students.
Like most Mormon kids, I started Seminary in the ninth grade and completed it in the twelfth. Only, where I lived, we did not have early-morning seminary like most do, but had “released time” during school hours.
