Service members requesting permission to wear a Jewish yarmulke or a Sikh turban are most likely to get their request granted in the Marine Corps, according to a new report.
The report, published Wednesday by the Defense Department Inspector General, found all services â?? except the Marine Corps â?? need to do more to respond to religious waiver requests in a timely manner. The document also concluded that the services needed to better train officers and staff noncommissioned officers on military policies regarding religious protections.
