Family Christian Stores, the nation's largest chain of Christian book and gift stores, is likely to remain operating if a bid by a subsidiary group is approved in bankruptcy court next month.
FC Acquisition LLC submitted the best bid for the Grand Rapids chain after a prolonged auction process that lasted five days and finally ended at 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 27, according to lawyers for the chain.
