In June, the Supreme Court will issue its opinion on whether or not the U.S. Constitution requires the fundamental redefinition of civil marriage in all 50 states.
For the moment, civil marriage has been fundamentally redefined in 37 states, yet this redefinition was enacted by the people, or their representatives, in just 11 states. Judges decreed this fundamental redefinition in the other 26 states.
