One of my favorite passages about hope is found in Hebrews, where it says: â??That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veilâ? (Hebrews 6:18-19). When you read these verses in the context of the whole chapter you find that hope is something â?? no SOMEONE â?? that sustains us â?¦ holds us steady through the tides of life. That hope is Jesus. He is our foundation. He is our stronghold.
