Continuing to represent the “light of Christ,” several stained glass windows at First Presbyterian Church of Cartersville have served as a symbol of Christianity for more than a century. To help the American Opalescent-style panels reach another 100 years and future generations of congregants, the prominent windows facing Main Street — and three smaller ones above them — are being fully restored.
“I think it is important to have the windows restored because they are a part of our past and our history,” said the Rev. Julie Jensen, associate pastor for First Presbyterian Church.
