Meanwhile, the rich are getting richer. According to Chris Matthews of Fortune magazine, â??in America, the wealthiest 160,000 families own as much wealth as the poorest 145 million families.â? Itâ??s been in the news countless timesâ??the top one percent of households controls a disproportionate share of wealth in the United States, and that share has only increased in recent years.
