An official of the Episcopal Diocese of Maryland met behind closed doors Tuesday with more than 100 area clergy to tell them the details of a Dec. 27 crash in which a bishop hit and killed a bicyclist before leaving the accident scene.
The meeting at an Episcopal center in Buckeystown, in Frederick County, was meant to allow clergy â??to express their feelings, ask questions,â? according to a statement from the diocese, and to give them information to tell congregants about the incident involving Bishop Heather Cook, the No. 2 bishop in the diocese.
