A United Methodist Church complaint against a retired bishop who performed a same-sex union in Birmingham in 2013 has been dropped, the United Methodist News service reported today.
A complaint had been filed in 2014 against Bishop Melvin G. Talbert, who performed the wedding of Joe Openshaw and Bobby Prince on Oct. 26, 2013.
