Dear Laura,
I was raised in a devout, non-denominational Christian family and have had a strong faith since I was a girl. A few years ago I did a research paper for school on the Mormon religion, mainly out of my own curiosity. I continued my reading on it and my interest only grew. I have attended a few services and have decided to begin the steps toward joining the Mormon Church. I know my parents will freak out when I tell them. Do you have any advice for how I should go about telling them about my newfound faith?
