As I sat in a recent Sunday school class, someone made a comment about the roles of women in our Church. The point was made that while men served as the main leadership, meeting people’s spiritual needs, women were the ones who met physical needs, such as bringing meals, caring for the sick, and other acts of compassionate service.
Men and women are of equal importance, but are different by design. Each is entrusted with roles that are essential for life and salvation. In I Corinthians 11:11, the Apostle Paul teaches that “neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.”
