Pentecostal Persecution Day Is Coming

He was born to missionary parents to China and Tibet, but today the Rev. George O. Wood leads the largest Pentecostal organization in the world, with more than 65 million adherents. He serves as general superintendent to The General Council of the Assemblies of God in the U.S. and chairman of the World Assemblies of God Fellowship.

Wood and two other national leaders will be in south Mississippi on Sunday, Jan. 26, at the invitation of several Assemblies of God as they celebrate the 100-year history of the denomination, which began in Hot Springs, Ark.
