LDS Church President Thomas S. Monson will be on hand Aug. 17 for a party marking his 85th birthday.
The gala honoring Monson, leader of the 14 million-member Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will feature the LDS prophet's “beloved Broadway selections and other favorites [as] performed by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Orchestra at Temple Square and notable guest artists," according to a news release.
