“Hot button” issues are not new to Methodism. Some are saying that, when the General Conference convenes in April 2012, delegates will be dealing with issues that could “destroy the United Methodist Church.”
These alarmist voices have been heard throughout our history but the Methodists have found a way to remain engaged with one another.
