Watching LDS General Conference reminds me of sifting through rice in Peru, looking for the bad grains to discard. It can be tedious, but when it’s over you have accomplished a task, and even learned a thing or two. … Who writes those conference talk summaries in the Des News? They are so bland that they must be e-mailed to the editors by LDS public affairs. I say that because the summary of apostle Elder David A. Bednar’s talk omitted the most important point he made: which is that to doubt is perfectly natural. In fact, Bednar went even further, suggesting that rote declarations of certainty of principles is unhealthy.
