The First Draft of the Annunciation

I have an experiment I want to try, if you’ll bear with me—and, if not, then just skip this post.

I’ve been commissioned to provide a poem, to be read aloud next month at the dedication of a new sculpture of the angel kneeling to Mary at the Annunciation. And I had the thought of trying something new for my verse-writing—the idea of crowd-sourcing the poem, a little, here at the CatholicVote blog. Or maybe I mean focus-grouping it. (And, man, ain’t English great, providing us participles like that?)
