New First Presbyterian Youth Pastor

First Presbyterian Church of Brookfield has a new pastor, and she is looking forward to joining the existing leadership in pursuing their shared dream for its future and reverence for the church’s long history and customs.
Rev. Julie King, who will hold the title of Student Pastor while she is a Master of Divinity candidate at the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary, explains, “In our tradition, our church is not led solely by the pastor, but more by a group of elders called the ‘Session.’
With regard to the scriptural legacy of the church, she conceives the Bible as a comprehensive gift from The Almighty, “a great big, long, gigantic love story of a faithful God and his flawed people.”
