Sorry, but it’s a dark horse, Hezekiah. Easy. The good book says there’s “No one like him among all the kings of Judah.”
When the invincible Assyrians smash their way to Jerusalem and ask the inhabitants to surrender, it’s easy for them to talk trash about how weak the Israelites are. “I will give you two thousand horses,” the Assyrian field commander taunts, “if you can put riders on them!”
Hezekiah can’t, but being undermanned doesn’t convince him to surrender.
