C.S. Lewis's Final Voyage
class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I am a part of that generation that remembers November 22, 1963.  We all have our memories of the time and place where we first heard the news that President Kennedy had been assassinated in Dallas, Texas.  I was in second grade and we had a substitute teacher who told us the news.  Little did I know that the Kennedy assassination was a minor story about the tragic life, inconsequential political career, and shocking death of a failed politician.  The greater news story of the day was C.S. Lewis' entrance into glory.  Lewis died on this day in 1963, his passing being swept to the back pages of the newspapers due to the death of the American President.  (Also relegated to the back pages was the story of the death of author Aldous Huxley.)
