When Sharron Angle's pastor went on a hate-filled rant about Mormonism, calling the religion "kooky" and a "cult," it was tempting to assume the Republican candidate for U.S. Senate in Nevada would pay the consequences.

But it is Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, himself a Mormon, who is facing the tough questions from members of the faith.
