A Church of Christ in Amarillo, Texas, made local headlines recently for participating in a joint worship service with three churches outside its fellowship.
Allan Stanglin, preaching minister for the Central Church of Christ in Amarillo, said it was powerful to see the four churches — Central, First Presbyterian, First Baptist and Polk Street United Methodist — put aside their doctrinal differences and worship together in the meeting place of the Baptist church, the Amarillo Globe-News reported.
