Is Marriage in Scripture? Of Course

Yes. The opening chapters in the Old Testament, the New Testament, and the Book of Mormon all draw attention to marriage between a man and a woman and the family unit. It is not just the opening chapters. Genesis and the gospel accounts of Matthew and Luke emphasize the family. Nowhere is marriage between two men or two women recognized in scripture.

It is interesting how those, like President Obama most recently, rely on the Savior’s teachings of love and love only. Why doesn’t he, and many others, rely on the Lord’s teachings on marriage?
