Joseph Smith's Call for Family Night
Ryan Jenkins, Standard-Examiner
With eight people in a 2,000 square-foot home we usually have a family night every night. If you turn right you are face to face with a family member, if you turn left your stepping over something, or someone. Needless to say there is always something to say, and much like your family it isn’t always in correct tones. But we have found the kitchen table at dinner a time and the living room later in the evening neutral ground.
Family time and fostering family unity is crucial. I am convinced children hunger for it when they are not distracted, often by parent driven extracurricular activities. Is there anything wrong being home once in a while?
