Absurd Feminist Effort to Purge Pronouns
I was living for a time in an intentional community founded by two lay Catholics. They were in their mid-sixties, spouses, liberals, radicals, and had established their community based on ideals of simple living and nonviolence, the purpose being “to live out the Sermon on the Mount.” To say the lifestyle was countercultural would be like saying Jesus was a nice guy: a whopping understatement. We grew our own food, cut wood for heat, and prayed together three times a day.
Each morning in the small chapel, surrounded by forest, we gathered for daily readings, swaddled in afghans as the sun came up. There were two young men who liked to do the readings.
